Myoden Station 妙典駅

Bright, relatively new Tokyo Metro Station in Chiba

When you see the livery of the Tozai trains and the station architecture, you might wonder if you're in Tokyo. Myoden is one of a half-dozen Chiba-side Tozai line stations, part of the Tokyo Metro system. The Myoden neighbourhood looks like suburban Tokyo. It's got a historical Buddhist 33 temple pilgrimage route that starts at nearby Tokuganji Temple. The station opened in 2000, so it looks fresh. On the concourse before the ticket gates, look out for the tile murals commemorating the opening.
