Delicious third wave coffee on the hip Cat Street

Whenever anyone asks for my recommendation for coffee in Tokyo, The Roastery is always the first place that comes to mind. There's just something so cozy and appealing about it, and I find myself stopping in nearly every time I'm in the area. You're always in for a treat whenever you visit. The line can sometimes get long and reach the street, but the wait is worth it. You're offered a few coffee selections for the day. If you're unsure, there is a glass jar with the beans you can smell and see which you like for yourself. The cashier will also give their recommendation if you ask (in English too). They also have some pastries if you're one of those who can't drink coffee without eating. After ordering, you can watch the baristas pour your drink. Their process is so interesting. After you receive your drink, you can choose your seat. Despite the lines, I find that I almost always get a seat. The interior is pretty spacious. (They have a bean roaster in the back, so there's space.) My favorite time to visit is winter. They serve hot and iced drinks, so it's not so much about the offerings. Rather, the atmosphere is so cozy during wintertime! They set up gas heaters around each table outside and provide blankets, so you can cozy up in the cold, even when the temperature is freezing around you. It makes it very difficult to leave, trust me.
