Kamisato Service Area (Outbound)

A good one to stop at

If you are travelling on the Kanetsu expressway, coming from Tokyo toward Niigata, the Kamisato Service Area is a good place to stop for a rest. It is not just a parking area, but a service area too. Meaning it has a lot more facilities and food options than a parking area. Like the branch I reviewed previously - on the opposite side of the expressway, heading into Tokyo - this service area has a Starbucks and a petrol / gas station. The main building has a large eating area indoors and there are some tables outside. There are also two separate buildings for toilets. Right now (October 2023) there is also a nice Halloween display!
