Midorigaoka Park

Official top 100 city park

Midorigaoka Park in Sukagawa City is one of the official top 100 city parks. The list comprises parks that are located in built up cities, based on the amount of green space and recreation available for locals. It is quite a large park with various facilities including a sauna! It is also the site of Taimatsu Akashi, one of three major fire festivals of Japan. There is some really beautiful scenery in the park, including Taikobashi - a stunning red moon bridge - that is framed by cherry blossom trees.
