    Huge Tsukune

The title of the review is Tamai Honten’s claim to fame and that is why they have been featured on television a few times. Tsukune (ground chicken patty) skewers are usually tiny little balls about the size of mushroom caps but here they serve patties the size of a burger patty. They are limited to one per customer, however, so I recommend getting the stamina tsukune for the most value, which comes with egg and garlic. They serve a large variety of other things too, such as sashimi or tamagoyaki. Everything, except the tsukune, is ordered through a tablet so it’s somewhat easy to navigate. English is very limited here though as the tablets translate the Japanese poorly and the staff don’t seem to know much of it. On the inside, it is a bit cramped on the first floor but the second floor is a bit more spacious. Regardless, there is plenty of seating and it is unusual to find an empty table here. Given the popularity and the quality of food they serve, it is quite easy to see why it is a bit more expensive here than in most places.
