Vintage JNR steam locomotive

Kashiwa Nishiguchi Daiichi Park there is one of Japan's domestic steam locomotives built from the 1930s to early 1950s. There are about 174 preserved ones and five of them are operational in Japan. The exhibited steam locomotive has a platform sign and a mock-up of a level crossing which gives visitors a sense of size. It's surrounded by wire fencing but train buffs can get some good photos between the wires. The park is a 10 minute walk west of Kashiwa Station.
