Ukiya no Sato

Ukiya no Sato is a beautiful nature reserve in Kazo City, Saitama. It is best known for its tafune boat ride event during the period that iris bloom at the park. The iris grow in June. It is not a particularly large iris garden, but the overall setting of the park adds to the appeal of Ukiya no Sato's iris. The park is also known for its "Euphorbia adenochlora". If it has a more "common name", unfortunately I don't know it and can't find it! It is a yellow flowering type of grass or plant that grows in spring. Supposedly it is an endangered species. Ukiya no Sato is a really peaceful, uncrowded location. There are toilets in the main car park, which is a rough and ready car park among the reeds!
