Fun eats and good seasonal menus

The Eggs 'n Things store in Sendai is conveniently located close to Sendai Station, and it's a great place to stop into if you're craving a more Western-style meal. They also typically have a good variety of seasonal menus -- right now it's very autumnal, with Mont Blanc topped pancakes and some chestnut drinks available. I got lucky and the store wasn't particularly busy on my visit, but I imagine on certain days and times (weekends) it's probably packed. Kinda pricey for certain things, but the food is great.

Eggs 'n Things Easter Menu: Pretty, but...

I write this coming up on the last day of the Easter/Spring menu at Eggs 'n Things. The shop itself in Sendai is welcoming and always seems to have a line of people looking forward to a plate of something Hawaiian-style. It's a short walk from Sendai station in the shopping arcade. My family enjoys it enough that I keep up to date on their seasonal menu. The eggs benedict looked so pretty I had to order it, even though I have never actually enjoyed the taste of beets. Surprise, surprise, this dish was not a hit with me and I will not be ordering again based only on the prettiness again. The rest of the meal was great and well prepared. We will come back again when we can. My husband and daughter both enjoyed their dishes more than I enjoyed mine, but everything was delicious. It's a little expensive for family dining, but it is a great time every once in a while.
