Yanagi to Kaze to is a restaurant in Niigata City with a variety of Asian food options on their menu. Not just Japanese, either -- they have things like Hainanese chicken rice and Thai Khao Man Gai among other things. What's cool about this place is that they incorporate koshihikari rice from the prefecture into any rice dishes, rather than other types of rice grains that are typically served with them. A nice local touch, IMO! A nice vibe and friendly service round it out!
