    Important Historical Location

For history buffs about the sengoku era, you should know that this is a really important location and castle. If not, the exhibition inside the castle should tell you enough for you to appreciate it. I like that besides the samurai exhibition, they also have displays of what life was like for the common folks back then. While the castle itself is not the original, the exhibition is worth checking out. With that said, I do wish the location was more convenient.

    Beautiful castle, worth the visit

It's been a few years since I visited Nagoya Castle, but when I did I was charmed by it. The weather when we visited was perfect and we managed to get some great pictures of the castle set against the beautiful blue sky. We didn't go inside - just appreciated the castle from outside- but that was enough for us. To me this is one of the iconic destinations in Nagoya and it's well worth checking out when you're in the city. Do note that at the moment there are some restrictions in place when it comes to entering the castle (due to Covid-19) so it's wise to check the official website before your intended visit.

    Being a Tourist in Nagoya!

My friend came to Japan a few weeks ago and it pushed me to be a tourist again. I took her to Nagoya, which does not have a ton of touristy places. I finally settled upon Nagoya Castle. The castle has several floors. The castle grounds are also very large. Beware of construction, lately you cannot enter the main castle because of construction.
