Kasenjiki Central Park

Local cherry blossom currently on everyone's radar...

The Kasenjiki Central Park is a riverside park stretched along the Iruma River either side of the Shodai Bridge. For years, it was a just a local cherry blossom spot. However, this month a new Starbucks has opened in the park which has increased the popularity of the park. Moreover, the park has dozens of beautiful mature cherry blossoms. There are areas to sit under the cherry blossoms. Even wooden loungers you can lie on and look up at the sakura or the Iruma Air Base air show annually on November 3rd. There is a playground in the park. The park has free car parking on both the South and North ends. There are also public toilets. The park itself is open 24 hours, but the car park maybe locked at night.
