Shikisainooka Park

Part of a larger nature reserve

Shikisai no Oka Park is a small part of a much larger nature reserve type park called Kuroyama Natural Park. It is on the south end of the Kamakita Lake. It is a beautiful nature area suitable for hiking and bird watching. The area of this part of the park is two hectares, but the hike to the look out point in Shikisai no Oka is just 700 meters. If you climb to one of the look out points there are great views of Kamakita lake and the hills of Moroyama. The hill has cherry blossoms and azalea in bloom in spring and hydrangea in June. The area is renowned for its autumn leaves. The main car park for this section of the park have toilets and vending machines. There is also a drinking fountain.
