Karly Spice Curry is just off one of the main streets in Matsue, and was a lucky find for me! They have a range of curry dishes on the menu - which is solely in Japanese - but there are pictures so you can pretty much guess what you're ordering and be pretty safe! The options are pretty standard fare - pork, beef, chicken or vegetable curries on offer. The interior of the store isn't all that big, but at the time I visited there was plenty of seating available. It has a trendy, urban loft feel to it - different mismatched chairs, exposed roof beams, and a large chalkboard menu on the wall. If you're someone who likes customizing your meal, Karly has a range of additional toppings you can add to the curry you choose, to bulk it up or add more flavors. You're also able to choose from small, medium or large portion sizes, which I really liked. I'd definitely go back if I was in the Matsue area again!
