Kachofugetsu Hot Spring

A hot spring with a dark past

Kachofugetsu is a hot spring beside the Saiboku Headquarters. It used to be called Makiba no Yu and once upon a time was my go-to hot spring. However, it was shut down after a very serious outbreak of Legionella bacteria in January 2013. It reopened around August 2014 under the new name and new management. I had visited it several times before the scandal, but it took me a long long time to go back to it knowing what had happened and only after I was assured all the plumbing was changed! Still, I really don't go that often anymore since the incident.
