My favorite beach in Japan

I've visited Okuma Beach in Okinawa on two occasions, and I'm dreaming of the chance to visit again. It's just gorgeous - the water is a stunning shade of blue, and it's every inch the tropical-feeling getaway. It's also really quiet, or at least on the occasions that I visited it was. I wanted to be away from the Naha/urban area beaches for a more relaxing trip, and this definitely delivered. The only thing I'd say is a possible downside is that you really need a car to get here - bus services are infrequent. There also aren't a ton of restaurants in the area so either BYO food or be prepared to survive on convenience store food for most of your visit if you're around for a few days.
