    What JapanRamen said!

JapanRamen put it perfectly - this (Tama Mizuho) branch of Don Quixote is messy, but the prices are great. I actually find that all the Don Quixote branches I've ever been to are messy, in other words the merchandize is strewn here and there, often stacked up high so its like a game of Jenga trying to take just one item from the shelf! This branch closes earlier than my local branches. Its open 9 am to 5 pm, but is open 365 days a year.

    Messy Inside but Great Prices

Don Quixote is a lot of fun to explore and discover. It is essentially a store with everything you would ever need to buy. From foods and toiletries to computers and furniture. They are usually at very competitive prices as well, and that is why I let go of the fact that the interior is always a mess to navigate. Besides shopping for my own food, I also like taking touring friends through Don Quixote and watch them explore and enjoy the things they can find. More often than not, they would find something quirky and get them as souvenir.

A one stop shop for just about everything

A favorite place of mine to shop are Don Quixote stores. They've also been super popular spots for visiting friends and family to stop into - in part because of the 8% sales tax that is waived if you're here for less than 6 months as a tourist. Don Quixote stores literally have a little bit of everything to buy. Whether it's some groceries, beer/wine/spirits, clothing, wacky socks (these are a souvenir favorite!) beauty products, technology/electronics...you can find just about anything you need here. Another really convenient thing are the opening hours here. A lot of the closer inner city stores are 24/7 - my former local store in the Tokyo suburbs was only closed from 5am-9am daily (I guess for stocktake purposes!) so it was handy for that reason too. One of my favorite things here are the fresh yakiimo that my store sold in the cooler months - wish they sold them year round. So tasty!
