The Luigans Hotel in Umi no Naka Michi Fukuoka is a resort hotel on the beach that has several cafes and restaurants. The seasonal outdoor barbeque is facing the water with a view of Fukuoka City. It runs 4200 yen per person for the scenery and a grill prepared to cook your set of meat, seafood, and veggies. Drink bar (alcohol or not) runs extra, but the side dishes are all you can eat, including kimchi, salads, curry rice, yakisoba, reimen, etc. It's a two hour reservation only ordeal, but most people seem to be done before the two hours are up, unless they're drinking. It's fun for the fancy location, but only for a special treat for most people! You can stick around for the aquarium or rent a bike to ride around the area while you're there. It's a great escape from the city.
