    Well worth visiting

If you are in Kanazawa and / or visiting the famous Kenrokuen garden, it is well worth tacking on a visit to the beautiful Kanazawa Castle Park, which is right beside Kenrokuen. There is no entry fee into the park. You can pay for a tour if you prefer, if you would like more in-depth information about the history of the castle, park and surrounding area.

Great spot for nature lovers or history buffs

I love parks and gardens, and my husband appreciates interesting history, and we found that the Kanazawa Castle Park had plenty to keep us both entertained. The grounds are massive, and you could easily spend a full day here just taking everything in if you really wanted to. Historic buildings and plenty of beautiful nature makes this a must when you're in the city.
