Uwasekigata Park

Scenic park in Niigata

Uwasekigata Park is about a 40 minute drive from Niigata City itself if you're driving to Yahiko Shrine. It's a cool park no matter the season you visit, because the nature is so stunning and diverse. In spring it's a popular cherry blossom spot and there are also fields of yellow nanohara blanketing the grounds. During parts of the year there are also a range of cool straw sculptures on the grounds of the park. They're really impressive! The park also has a kids play area and barbecue facilities. Worth a visit if you're in the area.
