Churaumi Aquarium

The best aquarium we've visited, over several countries.

Having visited a number of aquariums across the world in different countries, I would have to say that Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa was our family's favorite. If you're on vacation here, visiting the aquarium really is a must-do. There are a massive number of tanks, but the most awesome one (and the main one) is the Kuroshio Sea tank. It's something that I could sit and watch for hours if I had the time! In terms of admission cost, I think that it's very reasonable compared to other countries around the world. In fact, I'd say that back in my home country the admission to an aquarium would probably be double the cost (and in my opinion not as comprehensive as Churaumi). One thing I really loved here was how child friendly it was. As a parent, it really made me happy to see so many hands on things that kids could enjoy. A great day out can be had here, no matter your age!
