Yuzawa Museum of History and Folklore

Small but informative museum about the Yuzawa area's history

If you've got an interest in learning more about the Yuzawa area's history, the Yuzawa Museum of History and Folklore is worth a visit. It's a 500 yen admission fee for adults which I think is worth it - the museum isn't huge, but the exhibits are really interesting and definitely give some good insight into life in the area over years gone by. Personally to me the most interesting stuff is the snow gear that used to be worn out this way. It certainly gives me a new appreciation for my waterproof gear that I conveniently ordered online! It's worth noting that most the exhibits only have info panels in Japanese, but it's still interesting nonetheless.
