Camp, cabins, fishing, river play, beautiful nature
The Kinomura campsite in Tokigawa is set in really beautiful surroundings, but there are a few downsides to the camp. The pluses outweighed the minuses for me personally. And my kids really loved it there. The main downside is you can't get your car near the cabins or some of the tent sites. So you have to carry all your luggage quite a distance. And up some steps if you are staying in cabins. Wouldn't be so bad if you were provided with bedding, but due to the coronavirus they are not providing even futons at the moment. It took us six trips back and forth to carry six futons and all our luggage! Also, something to note under the current climate with Covid-19 is that everything is shared except your room - shared toilets, sinks, barbecue area, fridge etc The cabins are extremely basic, but reasonably priced. 9000 yen is the standard price. We got one of the two larger cabins for 11,000 yen. (It was still a squeeze with six of us though, so you wouldn't want to be housing more than 5 in the regular size!)
