Tenjinshita Park

Riverside park

Tenjinshita Park is a park along the Ara River (Arakawa) in Kitamoto. It is beside the Kitamoto Nature Observation park, just separated by a road that is on a large embankment. The park has nothing in it, except for a bench and vending machines in the car park. It is used mainly for riverside walks or for the open fields. However, the aforementioned large embankment that straddles Tenjin Shita Park and the Kitamoto Nature Observation Park is lined with celebrated cherry blossoms. For the two weeks that the cherry blossoms are in bloom people flock to Tenjin Shita Park as the car park is right beside the famed sakura street. Free parking. Open 24 hours, but no lighting in the park. Often closed of during typhoon season as the park doubles as flood fields for the Arakawa.
