Chill space, good food, free WIFI, slow pace
I stumbled upon this cool diner/izakaya restaurant in Funabashi City's Nakadori Shotengai, a street lined with restaurants. The immediate appeal was the outdoor dining. I opted for a table indoors. The menu has a mix of fare featuring charcoal grilled meats, beer can chicken, and original side dishes. The atmosphere is the standout feature here - a cavernous interior adorned with lush greenery, retro artwork, comfortable sofas, and private rooms. I was content with a plate of grilled hamburg with wedges of potato garnished with shiso and oroshi daikon. The restaurant offers free Wi-Fi, allowing you to bide your time in an art-filled space reminiscent of Canadian and US West Coast casual restaurants.
