Well worth the small entrance fee
Of the many museums in Tokyo, The Edo-Tokyo Museum stands out to me as one of the city's best. There are so many great displays, such as scale models of housing at various points in Tokyo's history - I personally learned a lot when I visited. Even if you're not someone who loves history museums, you might surprise yourself with this one. One of the best areas to me is the hands-on part (I like that aspect of museums, when you can actually interact with stuff).

Travel Back in Time
For those who have lived in Japan for a while, we start to get used to the modern world and wonder what this country used to look like. The Edo Tokyo Museum is a great place with plenty of exhibitions on what life used to be like. The center is a huge bridge with a lot of stations around to show you different cultural items. I also really appreciate how open and spacious this place is. The English volunteer supporters are really kind too. I would call this one of my favourite museums in Japan.
