Kurazukuri Hompo Ichibangai

Beautiful building, delicious dango

There are different branches of Kurazukuri Hompo around Kawagoe. This one is on Ichibangai, the main tourist strip in the Kawagoe old town. The front of the building is new, but the back part is the original 'kura' storehouse and it has many old items on display including an aga like range, which they still use. There is a restaurant in the old storehouse and out front they sell food souvenirs. Recently they started selling panda dango as street food, and they are absolutely delicious.
