    Permanently closed

This place seems to have been a victim of the COVID pandemic (like many others also were) -- they permanently closed down in 2021, unfortunately. A similar-looking style of ice cream which I plan to try in the future is John's Ice Cream in Meguro if you're looking for an alternative.

    Cute Instagram ice cream

Apart from the aesthetics, I don't think that there's any reason to visit Eddy's Ice Cream. Sure, you'd get a cute picture or two for Instagram, and get a few likes, but I don't think that it's worth the cost of over 1,000 yen. I've heard that the lines on weekends are crazy (or at least, used to be) but if you go midday on a weekday, you'll hardly find anyone there. I was able to pose with my ice cream and take shots freely throughout the store because there weren't many people there. In fact, there was only one other woman and she left soon after. The reason I would say it's not worth it is that it's not that tasty. The ice cream is standard, as is the waffle cone. They take care in adding your topping decorations, but even those taste pretty basic. And, if you're not a fan of white chocolate (like me) then half your decorations are inedible. The sugar cookie was nice, but not as sweet as I'd like, so I didn't finish that either. Eddy's Ice Cream is good for a one time trip, or when showing your visiting friends some of the cuteness of Shibuya/Harajuku. But I don't know anyone who'd willingly return for a second or third time because they enjoy the flavor.
