Cozy New Zealand wine bar, creative menu

Rangitoto has a huge selection of New Zealand wines, some rare, and craft sake made in Japan and abroad. A visit to this wine bar is an education - proprietor Wayne explains the variety of wines, the vineyards they come from, and the complex flavors of the wines. While visitors might have preferences for flavors that they prefer, Wayne will introduce you to more adventurous choices, too. The food menu is creative, offering dishes that combine typical Japanese ingredients and western flavors. If you’re lucky, New Zealand style meat pie with a Japanese twist might be on the daily menu.

Craft Sake and New Zealand Wine Bar

The bar is manned by owner Wayne Shennen from New Zealand, who is not only a certified advanced sake professional, but also a certified wine sommelier. It is needless to say that this guy is incredibly knowledgeable in everything alcohol related as well as super passionate about what he is doing. That makes visiting Rangitoto Tokyo a rare opportunity to learn a bunch of interesting facts about sake and wine while enjoying it at the same time. In addition to more than 100 different New Zealand wines and a great variety of craft sake, Rangitoto Tokyo also serves delicious food for lunch and dinner. If you want to learn more about sake and wine, you can join one of their regular guided tastings.
