Art gallery and cafe in a garden
Mori no Atelier is the former studio of a painter. The garden and studio were donated to Nagareyama City by the artist’s family. The garden has a surprisingly wide variety of plants and shrubs, well maintained and attractive in all seasons. The gallery, free to enter, has periodic exhibits by local artists and community groups. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, allowing for views of the artwork and garden. The atelier is a good place to finish up a visit to the Issa Soju Memorial Hall across the street.
