The Moomin Valley Park opened earlier this year (March 2019) after much anticipation. It has disappointed on a whole, but the cost is something of a bone of contention with many including myself. The cost into the park is very reasonable and definitely worth it for at least one visit. But it is the additional costs for attractions within the park, and the highway robbery charges of the parking that is causing all the fuss. If you want to pay into a few attractions, eat and park your car, budget for upwards of 10,000 yen. And if you have kids - double that! Entrance is only 1,500 yen for an adult, but each attraction costs about a 1000 yen per person, food is upwards of 1100 yen and parking is 1,800 yen on a weekday and 3,000 yen on a weekend. However, within the park there are some attractions included in the price and the shows are included too. We stuck to those and really enjoyed our day and thought it was well worth the entrance fee.
