Sakura Riverside Park

Nice, quiet barbecue spot

Sakura Riverside Park, also known as Osato Sakura Embankment (sakura means cherry blossoms) is located alongside the Wadayoshino River in rural Kumagaya. It is a quiet park, but it has a really nice barbecue area for the cherry blossom season. There is also a small playground in the park, pictured. And the wading river is nice for kids in summer - but currently the water is not clean. Hopefully they'll clean it before summer starts in earnest.
