Crunchy Mushroom Tempura on Soba

Located in front of Minakami Station, Kubota offers mouth-watering Japanese foods, particularly Soba or buckwheat noodles. Recommendation: 1. 3 Colored Mushroom Soba ( 三色きのこそば or さんしょくきのこそ場 not sure of the pronunciation): ¥1,080 It is highly suggested to try this one out. The flavors are very light, but satisfying. The soup matches well with the crunchy mushroom tempura. It’s a very filling meal, so it’s perfect if you have a big appetite. 2. Umeshu (plum wine) & Nihonshu (rice wine) : around ¥500 This place has a nice collection of Japanese liquors. We are not sure what brand we ordered but I was very much satisfied with my Umeshu. Conclusion: So if you just arrived in Minakami, and you want to grab a bite, no need to go further. Just head straight from the station and enjoy a meal in Kubota.
