Pleasant restaurant inside the Marinepia Aquarium

At the Marinepia aquarium there is plenty to see and do, so you're bound to work up an appetite. There's a great on-site restaurant that has plenty of options to grab some lunch at. The fare is pretty standard - think things like katsu curry, udon, soba, ramen and the like. However, it's wonderful for kids since the meals are so adorably presented. My daughter loves the dolphin curry set, which comes with a jelly and juice on the side. The portions are very reasonable and there are kids bowls/cutlery on hand too. Lots of baby seats for the extra little ones, too! The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful too, especially when they see that you're trying to manage children and your lunch trays. There's quite a lot of space in the restaurant too and we've never struggled with getting a seat. They also have English copies of the menus if you do require those, but since everything has pictures too they're not really necessary.
