    Legit NY pizza

Do not take me lightly when I say that this is the best pizza joint in Tokyo. I have been on the search for good pizza in Japan for years. I've read blogs and visited their suggestions only to be thoroughly disappointed... But I've done it. I've finally found it.... Rocco's. The restaurant isn't big, but I was easily able to get a table at 5 PM on a weekend. They usually play sports games on their TV, so maybe a game wasn't on that night, or maybe I was too early. Either way, my group of 4 were the only ones in there. Later, we saw some people trickle in, but they were just picking up their carry out orders. Service was prompt. The entire menu was in English, and the waitress spoke English as well. The prices are higher than what you'd pay for the stuff in NYC, but that's the premium you pay for living in Japan. Besides, compared to other pizza places in Japan, the prices weren't too different. I wasn't expecting the pizza to be so big... I was pleasantly surprised when I actually had leftovers (and was allowed to take them home, a rarity in Japan). The flavors were almost spot on, too. They don't skimp on cheese or toppings which probably is part of the reason why it's so delicious. Their garlic knots are really good, but I've had better (not in Japan). I'm not a huge fan of wings, but everyone I was with seemed to like them. Look at the picture and judge for yourself. Their fried ravioli was the only miss for me. There wasn't enough sauce, but the flavors were still good. I just wouldn't pay that much for them again. All in all, you're going to have a great meal no matter what you choose to order. It may cost you a bit more than what you're used to paying, but it'll definitely be worth it! Plus, the atmosphere almost makes you forget which country you're in, if you're feeling a bit homesick.
