    Fun place for photo ops

Toei Kyoto Studio Park is a fun place to check out if you're in the area, especially if you like unique photo ops. The park has been the set for a number of period dramas, so there's entire parts that look like a step back in time to the Edo period. You can learn about Japanese movie productions, dress up in traditional attire, and more. My husband was a big fan of this place, for me it was okay -- I'd probably say visiting once is more than enough ;)

    Toei Kyoto Studio Park

The Toei Kyoto Studio Park is a movie park that takes you back in the Edo period. Many historical dramas are produced there and you can enjoy not only watching the work on these, but also many attractions. Experience Ninja, Samurai and more or just enjoy walking around the streets. There are several shows every day, but also changing seasonal events. One hightlight might be the Oiran walk which is shown on weekends and national holidays in October & November. At the different restaurants and shop you can find many things, too. A nice place where you can spend some hours with the whole family. Take care that some attractions have an additional charge. Such as the Trick Art Museum, which is also worth a visit. For some more extra money you even can get inside a traditionl costume and use the change to take some nice photos in the historical atmosphere.
