    A quieter cat shrine

I feel like the best known "cat shrine/temple" in Tokyo is Gotokuji, but Imado Shrine in the Asakusa area is another fun option and it isn't as busy. There are numerous cat statues and other cat themed items across the shrine grounds, and maneki neko themed ema for you to write your prayers/wishes on. I liked the more chill atmosphere here and would recommend it to any feline fans wanting a serene rather than touristy cultural cat destination.
