A nice rest area with some great soki soba
On my visits to Okinawa we stayed at the Okuma Beach area, and the Yuiyuikunigami Rest Area is really close by - about a 5 minute drive away, if that. There are a ton of regional goodies available for purchase inside (we always stock up on various types of chinsuko!), and a couple of restaurants too. I always get the soki soba, an Okinawan specialty, and it is delicous! Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area for a bite to eat and a bit of souvenir shopping.
