Craft market, cafe, and cooking school
Kakaya, located a short walk past Kasukabe City’s wisteria avenue, is distinctive for its violet storefront. The front shop has two sections - one, a showcase of handcrafted tableware and textiles, the other a cafe serving coffee, tea and cake. Kakaya has a 30 year history in Kasukabe, providing cooking instruction in western and Japanese cuisine. There are two other locations of Kakaya, one in a gorgeous house also in the city. This is a great place for a quiet chat over tea and shopping for unique presents.
