Great views of the city from the monorail

Chiba City's monorail is often featured in promotions and on social media. You can't miss it as the piers and rails of the two-line suspended monorail cross the city from west to east and north to south. I rode from Chiba-Koen Station and transferred at Chiba Station to reach Kencho-Mae Station. The views from this suspended monorail (the longest in the world) are great, and the cars have full wrap livery for promotions, some attractive and interesting. The mezzanine level of Chiba Station is huge with a ceramic mural and a street piano. The monorail can get crowded, but between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., you can get a seat. However, I recommend standing so you can take in the view. Minimum fare is 200 yen, maximum 520 yen. At the ticket window, riders can get a discount day pass (collectible with images of the city).
