Tomb of Matsudaira Izu-no-kami Nobutsuna

I wish I'd taken the tour

The Tomb of Matsudaira Izu-no-kami Nobutsuna is located within Heirin Temple in Niiza City. I roamed the grounds on my own, but heard after that they do organize tours. I wish I'd taken the tour as I think I would have learned a lot more about this significant historic area. Reportedly, the Emperor visits the grave / temple every couple of years, which is just one indication of the significance of this site. I am not entirely sure this is the correct location of the tomb, pictured, but it was the one area of graves that you couldn't walk among so I assumed it is. Regardless, this pathway among the stone statues really blew me away.
