Off the beaten path wisteria and hydrangea spot
The Kisai area of Kazo is an old castle town. Unfortunately, the original castle does not remain and just a mediocre replica of the original. The Kisai Sogo Park is a small park offering locals sporting facilities and somewhere scenic to walk. It seems to be a popular spot for fishing too. Each year around Golden week beautiful wisteria grow both in the park and along a flower road North of the park. That same flower road has beautiful hydrangea in June. There is also another hydrangea road south of the park that is famous, but ironically the Northern Road is quite off the beaten path. Parking is free. There are toilets, vending machine and water drinking fountains in the park.
