Former elementary school open to the public

There has been an increase in the number of "former" schools that are now tourist attractions. This school in Kawajima was only closed as a place of education a couple of years ago. It can now be used for events or for just playing in the grounds. The grounds have a large playground, bigger than most school playgrounds in my experience. It has slides, swings, climbing frames, tunnels, exercise poles, sand pit, tyre athletic and lots of running space. You can let yourself into the car park, but you are expected to close up the gates after you. You must bring home any rubbish too. The school building is only accessible when there is an event on or if you have organised to use it. There is little immediately around the school, but it is relatively close to Heisei No Mori park and the poppy fields of Konosu.
