A welcome improvement

The Tobu line train running from Funabashi to Omiya is almost finished a major upgrade in 2024. The elevated section of the line passing through Noda City eliminates 11 level crossings. Along with better traffic flow and safety, the line zips along with new express services. Atago Station's rebuild is one of the most people-friendly. Because the station is elevated you can walk straight through from west to east with some benches. Inside the gates on the ground level are wood benches and clean, spacious toilets. The impression is the station's design takes into consideration the aging population and future development around Atago. And that huge white awning on the west side doubles as a screen for a projector.
