This place is an awesome free BBQ spot by the river, and it's one of my absolute favorites no matter the season. Japanese families love hanging out here on weekends, especially in the summer when it can get pretty packed, so it's a good idea to claim your spot early. You can set up a tent and fire up the BBQ, but there's more to it than that. You can take a dip in the river, do some fishing, or just kick back and enjoy some birdwatching while catching a beautiful sunset—it's a total gem! By the way, if you're driving here, there's free parking right next to the baseball field, but be aware that spaces are limited.
