Daitenbaku Shrine is one of thousands of shrines around the country that doesn't look particularly notable at first, but only on probing deeper you find out about its hidden charms! Despite being very small and nothing special to look at, it is quite well known for being dedicated to the God of easy birthing and child rearing. It is quiet for a lot of the year, but then at New Years (and a couple of other times during the year) it is absolutely crowded. You can purchase 'ema' prayer plaques with a depiction of a mother and child at this shrine.
