Frog protectors

Tomemiya Shrine is a beautiful, unmanned shrine in the Fuppu area of Yorii. One of the unusual things about the shrine is that rather than 'komainu', the lion dog protectors of a shrine, Tomemiya has frog protectors, or komagaeru in Japanese. On the back of one of the frogs there are baby frogs.
