Crayon Shinchan, Kasukabe's Native Son

Crayon Shinchan is the most famous resident of Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture. He and his family, friends, and the family dog (the cleverest of the lot) have been chronicled in manga, television and movies since 1990. Crayon Shinchan has mangled the Japanese language and showed his bottom to audiences and extraterrestrials (see the movies to understand more) in foreign language dubs around the world. He's an endearing perpetual five-year-old whose family members experience all kinds of adventures and mishaps. Crayon Shinchan causes a lot of trouble, but his hijinks often result in amusing and pleasant outcomes. The amusement center has all kinds of typical games, displays of Crayon Shinchan movie posters, monuments, and a selection of Crayon Shinchan goods. Note that Kasukabe City has a number of related sites. Kasukabe City hall often has a display of Crayon Shinchan in the first floor lobby, and the Ito Yokado department store near the west exit of Kasukabe Station occasionally displays the parody version of its sign, reading "Sato Kokonokado" with a bat replacing the logo.
