Nice spot to connect with the great outdoors

Yagigahana is a nice spot to connect with nature in the Niigata countryside. The rock formation is almost 200 m in height and it sits right by a river, making it a pleasant spot to just relax and soak in the views and pleasant sounds of water flowing. There are a number of campsites at the grounds (10 in total) which you can reserve for either a day-only or overnight stay. There are also two cabins available if you'd prefer something with a few more creature comforts. To reserve them you need to call the Yagigahana Campground Management folks (details here: https://www.city.sanjo.niigata.jp/en/explore/places/nature/1185.html) - they don't take bookings other than over the phone, so bear that in mind. All in all, a pleasant spot for a day trip and definitely a unique landscape to enjoy.
