Numa Juniper Tree 沼のびゃくしん

My destination was Tateyama Castle on the mountain, and I decided to take an excursion on my cycling trip. I happened on the way finding markers pointing me to various places of interest under the castle. The Numa Juniper is estimated to be 800 years old and the largest of its kind in Chiba Prefecture. It’s gnarled trunk radiates its antiquity. There is a small shrine is identified as Juuniten.
