An architecturally cool Important Cultural Property

Sazae Temple in Aizuwakamatsu is one place I definitely think is worth stopping by if you're in the area. It was built in 1796, and while the wooden temple looks impressive from the outside, the real surprise is inside. Its unique double-helix design means that visitors follow separate routes up and down without passing each other, almost like walking through an architectural puzzle! The temple is also a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. Admission is ¥400 for adults, ¥300 for high school students and ¥200 for elementary and junior high school students.
